GFC, Google+, Bloglovin...what to do?

Happy Sunday, everyone,

Before I address the topic of today's post, I wanted to let everyone know that auditions are open for American Crafter Season 4 until February 29, 2012.  Click HERE for more information.  I've entered and if you haven't you should!

Okay, now onto the Google Friends Connect issue.  I consider myself a new blogger and I am definitely technologically challenged so all the buzz about Google Friends Connect going away and join Linky Followers parties have my head spinning.   I found a blog, "The Real Blogger Status" that posted info about this matter on November, 23, 2011.  You can read it HERE.

Although this is a blogger blog, I am still confused about the Google Friends Connect vs Google Plus thing.  I did jump on the linky follower bandwagon but I found the dashboard to be difficult for me to use.  Also, I have learned that unlike GFC, you must upload your post into linky followers.  If you do not upload posts, followers do not know you have new material for them.

I did go to bloglovin and their dashboard is very similar to Bloggers'/GFC:  look, feel, logic.  It is also free and like GFC, bloglovin links up your posts automatically so your followers don't miss a single post.

I'd love to hear what everyone else is learning/has learned about GFC/Google+/Bloglovin/Linky Followers etc.

4you

It's so funny that you ask this tonight. I'm actaully hosting a bloglovin' blog hop tomorrow. I definitely like bloglovin' better than LF. I'm trying to do both, but I would rather read other blogs in bloglovin', which is the reason why I wanted to do the hop. Stop by www.thenymelrosefamily.blogspot.com and join up if you can.

I was actually reading this earlier when you commented on my post! Its so coincidental that you are posting this...I had also been thinking about the pros and cons of LF and was going to do a post on it today. Time has gotten away from me, but it is good to know that I am not the only one not crazy about it. I had already added bloglovin' but how many places can you ask someone to follow you and keep a good record of the amount of followers you have? It will be great when there is 1 way that blogland agree's upon!

I fully agree with all of that. I like it a lot better as well, it is the most similar to the GFC to me and way easier to use than LinkyFollowers for me as well. I just commented on your amazing floor post, so cool! Now following you via bloglovin' :D
