Red Velvet

My husband and I were married on December 29.  We were frugal and jumped on the Christmas color scheme (bridesmaids had emerald green dresses and we had red & white silk flowers).  My wonderful mother made my wedding cake and we decided to decorate it in mistletoe (yes, my couple on top the cake were kissing under the mistletoe) and my mother had the wonderful idea to have a red velvet cake.  Well, my love affair with this cake continues on.  In fact, my kids love it as well.

I realize that my last post was sharing ideas that I had found on other blogs and that I should have an original one for you today.  However, I am seeing red velvet everywhere and I just have to share these ideas with you!

Red Velvet Cherry Cake Roll from Will Cook for Smiles

Red Velvet Pancakes from Teenage Taste

Red Velvet Crepes from duhliscious

Baked Red Velvet Donuts from Taste and Tell

Red Velvet Cheesecake from 17 and  Baking

A lot of ideas from Something Swanky including:

Red Velvet Monster Cookies from Something Swanky

Red Velvet Trifle in a Jar from Something Swanky

I don't know what to make first!

4you
